If you were impressed with the previous GMC Acadia, well, we’ve got some great news for you, because this latest edition of the crossover from General Motors not only squishes the competition, but also improves immensely on its predecessor.

What you've Always Needed

Perfectly positioned between the compact Terrain and the full-size Yukon, the GMC Acadia is the ideal blend between the two with room for five, six or seven passengers depending on model selected. It also offers split-folding second-row seating, which even allows the passenger-side seat to slide forward and back, even with a forward-facing child seat installed. And the rear seats, which offer 50/50 split, folds completely flat for a total of 2,237 litres of cargo space. Levers in the rear make it possible to fold both the third and second rows from the back of the car as well for greater ease of use and practicality.

Of course, the 2017 GMC Acadia is about more than just interior space and seating, this new model also features a new 2.5L engine (standard) and an all-new available 3.6L V6 as another powertrain option with an estimated 310 horsepower and 4,000lb towing capability. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and both FWD and AWD drivetrains are available.

The brand new GMC Acadia was redesigned to accommodate young families on the go, and for those looking for that little bit of extra. Well, that extra comes in the form of a host of safety features designed to keep you and your family safe and comfortable. Features such as available forward automatic braking, forward collision alert, surround vision camera system, pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert, as well as front and rear parking assist are there to keep you safely on the road and on the right path at all times.

Along with an all-new exterior look the Acadia features a host of improved interior amenities such as a new and standard rear seat alert that reminds the driver when an item may have been accidentally left in the second- or third-row seats, as well as USB charging spots in all three rows, as well as available OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.

Overall, the 2017 GMC Acadia is all about improved looks, usability, and performance. Offering up plenty of flexibility for young families, this crossover is sure to be a hit in a segment that’s rife with some steep competition.
